Many people are retiring these days to get out of the working field in our economy. Retiring can be a struggle, especially if you’re trying to pick an affordable place to live. Here, we’ll tell you where you can live cheaply in the last segement of your lifetime:

6. Tucson, AZ- Many activities at an affordable cost. Ideal climate, with mild winters and hot, dry summers. The average three bedroom home is only $180,000.

5. Port Charlotte, FL- A terrific city you can enjoy while staying on budget. You’re always withing walking distance of a beach. The average three bedroom home is $170,000.

4. Bella Vista, AS- An inland location, Bella Vista is near the OK/MO border of Arkansas. This city is great if you want  aslower, more rural enviroment. The highest tax bracket is 7% and the average three bedroom home is $170,000.

3. Surprise, AZ- This city is just west of Scottsdale, AZ in the Phoenix Statistical area. Although it is near a major metro, it isn’t actual too close. It is still a small town with affordable living just outside a city. The average three bedroom home is $150,000.

2. Madison, GA- A tiny town of about 4,000 just outside Athens, GA. Homes are around 111,000, and some homes even get below 100,000!

1. Jacksonville, FL- A small”big” city, Jax is probably the best city to retire in nationwide. It’s completely affordable, and you can get a beautiful ocean view house in Jax Beach around $150,00-170,000. There is so much to do im Jax and it is completely senior-friendly. Lately, severe weather has been firing up in the USA. It’s just that time of year. So, we’re here to warn you about possible conditions in travel destinations or your hometown:

10. Austin, TX- Austin is the capital and center of Texas. It is the state’s 4th biggest city and is often smacked by humid gulf air and cool, dry mountain air. It often gets hit before Dallas and Houston.

9. Lincoln, NE- The only Nebraskan city on the list, Lincoln is a megplex for storms in Nebraska. It is more open and , being the capital of the state and all, can easily be smashed witha  Tornado in the spring, summer OR , fall.

8. Arlington, TX- Smack-dab in between the stick cities of Dallas and Fort Worth, Arlington is home to the Metroplex’s entertainment and amusements industry. Without it, Dallas-Ft.Worth would be a mess (economics wise)…and often Arlington takes the punch for Dallas.

7. Springfield, MO- Similar to Joplin’s weather, Springfield lucked out on that day. Only about 150 miles from joplin, at the greatest, Springfield can easily be heat with a Tornado the size of Joplin’s- and Springfield is a much bigger town- with almost half a million.

6. Joplin, MO- The city at the sight of one of the country’s worst tornados on records is back in business- that can be good or bad. Anyways, they still got a summer of severe weather to go in the 100 degree So.Missouri heat.

5. Kansas City, KS- Ford’s headquarters are on the good side of town- but the downtown often gets smacked with severe storms, KC has very humid air which rises over the warm Missouri-Kansas river waters. That combines with cold air aloft. I think you know what will happen next.

4.Dallas-Ft.Worth, TX- The Metroplex is the biggest metro affected this much by severe storms. It’s hot and humid summer days combine with the occasional cold front coming from the West. Hail is a big thing in dallas and so is Lightning.

3. Wichita, KS- Wichita is a city with blistering hot summer days on the corn fields and highways- but those corn fields can look like burnt corn fields in seconds. Wichita, with its center location, often sees lots of humid air and an abundance of cold fronts, which supplies severe weather almost every other day in the Summer.

2. Tulsa, OK- Another severe weather city, Tulsa receives less storms than OKC, but more then most of the USA. Since they are in an isolated corner of the state, they often have less severe weather.

1. Oklahoma City, OK- Right in the smack center of Tornado Alley, OKC receives a Tornado in almost every month of the year. The dry line in East OK (which cuts of dry and moist air) has warm, moist gulf air on one side, and cold, dry mountain air on the other. When severe storms are possible, the storms sweep through the entire state, hitting OKC, in almost a day.

This is my opinion and based on facts that I MYSELF know. So your opinion may be different.

~The king

Two very different towns. One of them is better than the other. Who will it be? Travel with the King and find out…..

Round 1: Climate- These are two widely comparable climates. One is cold and sometimes mild with periods of dry air and humid air. One is hot and humid, with frequent  severe spring pop up thunderstorms and no snow. Yup. Detroit is the first and Houston is the second. Now, if you’re the humid and hot type, who like lots of summer sun, Houston may be just the right place. If you like a moderate summer sun and some cool weather, detroit is where you go. No matter what, I’d take 100 over 40 any day! Winner of round 1: Houston

Round 2: Attractions- These two places have great attractions. Houston has Houston Astros baseball! And also, can’t forget the famed Houston Space Center. The Downtown aquarium and Houston Zoo are also great. Galveston is only two exits away. Detroit has some great things as well. Explore the GM headquarters. The Detroit Tigers have a great field and are always a great team to watch! Take a trip to The henry Ford museum. Take a Detroit River Cruise or have a fantastic night at the Fox Theatre. Who to choose? In my opinion…I’d love to see… Detroit! I’m a history kind of person!

Round 3: Food- Southern Style Food. The grill. The yummy, salty, meats and poultry. Texas Ribs. Houston has a BBQ at every corrner. Talk about convenience! You can get some good desserts as well. It can get a little unhealthy though. Detroit has some delicious foods. Dearborn has some great cultural, Arab-American dishes. There are also some Italian specialties. So who wins? Hard…but…Detroit!

Surprisingly, in my eyes, Detroit won. I would have never though, but after some research, you’d never have known. The Internet works wonders….

This is The Master. I need to announce that I screwed up along with a slow laptop, and barley any imagination I could not get the job that done for you. Do not worry though, tomorrow I will do two blogs to make up for today and tomorrow’s post. I am very sorry to all viewers and travelers.

Two cities of a kind. The Harbor Metro versus The City By The Bay. Who will win? Come and learn….

Round 1: Climate- These two climates can be contrasted finely. First of all, one has a 15 degree year round temperature range, while the other has a 50 degree range! Baltimore may get down to a high of 44 in January but the high 6 months later is 91! San Francisco will have a high of around 60 in January but a high of 71 in August. You basically dress the same year round. Baltimore has gone from blizzard winters to excessive heat warning summers. Winner? Totally San Fran! Ideal climate!

Round 2: Food- These places both have unique foods. When you visit San Fran, you think of a diverse culture. you must have some Chinese Food at the Nation’s most realistic Chinatown. But, they also have some good Italian food. Cafes are also a specialty. Sushi can also be found in Japantown, where residents were forcibly moved to during WW2. Baltimore has the best seafood. Lobsters and Crabs galore at Harborplace. They have some historic pubs and good Irish food in Federal Hill. Winner? This ones a biggie…. I’d say… San Fran! The more variety, the better!

Round 3: Attractions both these cities are full of attractions! San Fran has the Golden Gate. You must drive across it or you never experienced the best view of your life. The California Academy of Sciences houses an aquarium and planetarium. Also, visit SFMOMA for great 20th century art pieces. Visit the Embarcadero and Marina Green for great experiences. Baltimore has  a lot to see! Camden Yards is a must see. The Orioles aren’t such a great team to see…I’d be more willing to just see this beautiful park! The National aquarium is a must see. Harborplace houses many of the nightclubs, bars, restaurants and entertainment. Stay out of any part of Western, Northwestern and Eastern districts for the safest trip. Winner? San Fran!

San Fran was a winner for this one! Great atmosphere! great place to live! bring the bank though….

These two cities are very different cities. Hot and humid Dallas. Dry and lakeside Cleveland. Who will win? Come find out….

Round 1: Climate- Cleveland and Dallas have totally opposite climates. Cleveand averages over 50 inches of snow each winter! Dallas averages less than a tenth of that. Dallas has hot and humid summer days topping 100, with severe storms almost every other day. Cleveland gets a pleaseant lake-shore breeze which keeps it at a nice temperature of around 80. The winter temps in Dallas are around 50-60 and in Cleveland they are around 20-30.

Winner: Dallas

Round 2: Food- All the fried chicken you want. BBQ Ribs and corn on the cob. Not that Cleveland can’t have a good BBQ, it can be just as good as Dallas, but you have a shorter grilling season. I think you’d get a better Ballpark Hot Dog in Cleveland though. You can also get much better Italian food (still not very good, but much better than Texas) in Cleveland. Winner? Dallas!

Round 3: Attractions- These cities are both equally as good with attractions in my view. Dallas has so much. Six Flags Over Texas is in next door Arlington, TX. So are the Texas Rangers. The Dallas Museum of Art and the Dallas Zoo are also beautiful. In Cleveland, you can see an Indians game at the Great American BallPark. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is just a world renound museum that you need to visit. Cedar Point is just outisde Cleveland. The lake shore beaches are also nice. The Cleveland Metropark Zoo is convenient and a great zoo. Wildwater Kingdom is  huge waterpakr just 31 miles out of Cleveland. Winner? Cleveland!

So, the winner is definitely Dallas. That’s based on an overall view of what categories are taken over by Dallas though. Cleveland has much better attractions and is better for the family.

Ladies and Gents, Boys and Girls, Travelers of all ages it’s that time again. I debate for you and you make your choice. Now for tonight I debate Atlanta and Orlando. Let the battle begin.

Round 1: Tourist Attractions

Atlanta- Atlanta is a crock pot full of landmarks. Let me see, The Varsity, The World of Coca-Cola, MLK Memorial, Georgia Aquarium, and The Carter Center and Presidential Library.  All attractions are dedicated to the periods that made Atlanta a dominant force in our nation’s history.

Orlando- Orlando has the credibility to back it up. Orlando has its beaches along its coastline.  Also Orlando is home to Disney World. Home to some of the most innovative creations of all time. Orlando can also boast being the home to Universal Studios. Which is full of parks, hotels, and fun for the entire family.

Ding Ding Ding The winner of this round is… Atlanta due to its attractions being able to pull in people of different interests.

Round 2: Economic attributes

Atlanta- Atlanta is classified as an alpha world city. Due to part of that success is because of all the major industries based in Atlanta. Businesses like Home Depot, Coca-Cola, and Delta Airlines brings major revenue to Atlanta daily. Without them Atlanta wouldn’t be considered as such a success as it is today.

Orlando- Orlando also have facilities that are vital to Orlando’s economy. Orlando has several research facilities that helps with the Air Force and National Guard. Orlando even has roots in the gaming business as EA Games are located there and that definitely brings in cash to their economy.

Ding Ding Ding The winner of this round is… Atlanta, Georgia because they are simply vital to Atlanta and are some of the biggest companies in the world and its really a no contest compared to what Orlando has to offer even though Orlando has some major corporations in the city.

Round 3: Star Power

Atlanta-  Atlanta has had its fair share of stars throughout its entire history. To list some names we have:

Martin Luther King Jr- Civil Rights Activist and Nobel Peace Prize Winner

Jimmy Carter- 39th President of United States of America and Nobel Peace Prize Winner

Ivan Allen Jr- Atlanta Mayor, Civil Rights Activist, Brought Major League  Sports to Atlanta

Usher- Music Producer, Songwriter, Recording Artist

Hulk Hogan- Retired Hall of Fame Wrestler

Hank Aaron- MLB Hall of Famer, MLB Leader with the most home runs from 1974-2007

Chris Tucker- Movie actor, Comedian

They just some of the many stars that dominated Atlanta during its rise to world fame.

Orlando- Orlando has had its fair share of stars throughout its entire history. To list some names we have:

Wayne Brady- TV Personality

Tiger Woods – Multiple time Golf Masters  Champion

Wesley Snipes- Film Producer and Actor

Even Orlando has credible stars for its resume.

Ding Ding Ding The winner of this round is Atlanta, Georgia due to its incomparable amount of  star power.

The overall winner is Atlanta, Georgia as the winner of 3 out of 3 rounds demolishing Orlando with a surprising defeat.

Please note that my choices are dependent on my opinion and research only and your opinions my be completely different from mine.
